Beliefs About Therapy
I believe that therapy can be a sacred place for transformation. Our bodies hold so much wisdom we often override or ignore. Through learning to attune to your body’s insights we will explore your unique gifts and compassionately release patterns you have outgrown. When we reconnect within ourselves we can live in deeper alignment with our goals and desires.
It is my belief that we heal relational wounding through being in relationship with others. Our struggles and our strengths are often woven within the collective experience. The cultural, social, and familial systems we live within are not separate from what we are navigating in the therapeutic space, nor are they separate from how we have experienced ourselves in the world. Recognizing how we feel in relation to how we have been influenced is just the beginning.
Through integrating how we know things to how we feel things allows for deeper authentic and holistic connection to ourselves.
Approach
I work with you by creating a relational connection that is emotionally engaged, curious, compassionate and sometimes playful with a good dose of humor. Together we will learn to attune to your body’s inherent voice and create pathways toward living in greater alignment.
Through bringing awareness to your feeling, thinking, and sensing parts, we will explore your unique gifts and kindly release patterns you have outgrown and cultivate nourishing change.
My approach is influenced by somatic attunement through modalities like IFS, RSH, CBT, SE, EFT, Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Social Justice and Liberation Psychology through a trauma informed lens.
